NAMM SHOW, Anaheim, California
In January 2006, my son Joel and I travelled to Anaheim, California, to represent Versoul instruments at the NAMM Show, one of the largest music product trade shows in the world.
During the four days of the exhibition, we had countless visitors at the Versoul display. Our friend, local musician Bruce Kagan was helping us out at the display and demonstrating our products. We received lots and lots of positive comments on our guitars, and the highlight of our catalogue was the ResoSun resonator guitar, which garnered special attention.
A number of friends, acquaintances and clients came to pay a visit, including jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell, producer John Hanlon and guitarist and songwriter Michael Georgiades. Other visitors included the Japanese distributor of Versoul, Daisuke Kitahara, and the California retailer Fred Walecki from Westwood Music.
The consul general Manu Wirtamo and press secretary René Söderman from the Finnish consulate in Los Angeles also came by to check out our contribution for exporting Finnish design.
Although the exhibition schedules were tight and the atmosphere at the event was rather hectic, we also found the time to enjoy the company of our friends in the California sun.
The NAMM Show was a very positive experience for us, and the whole trip was very enjoyable - a resonating success!
